Sidi bou Said

As I paint in Sidi bou Said, the renowned city of artists, I am constantly inspired by its vibrant culture and breathtaking surroundings. The bright blue and white architecture, the Mediterranean Sea, and the lively atmosphere of the village provide an ideal backdrop for my work.

Needless to say, around a century ago, this place was the inspiration for the French Fauvist, Albert Marquet (who is one of my favorite painters ever). He spent a significant amount of time working here.

It doesn’t seem that the village has changed much over time.
